Overview

I joined the product design team for Global Payments in July 2018. I work directly with a small team based in Portland, OR, while also collaborating with larger teams around the world.

A lot of the products I design are currently being introduced to the market or are only available for our clients. As a result, an NDA prevents me from sharing too many details here. With that being said, if you have any additional questions about the projects, shoot me an email and I’d be happy to discuss what I can.

Key Projects

Lead Designer on White Label Mobile App Solution

I was given the opportunity to lead the design of our white label mobile app solution for our QSR (quick service restaurant) clients. Our first client for this app is the Puerto Rico market for Burger King, with more to follow.

Some of my key objectives thus far have included:

• Creating a mobile UI pattern library

• Extensive marketplace and competitor research

• Rapid wireframe and prototype iteration based on client and user feedback

• Fluid communication and an active iterative feedback loop with the development team

• Collaboration with the client for a complete white label - to - brand reskin

Below shows the app customized for Burger King, as it appears in the IOS app store. You can also watch a video walkthrough of the in-market BK PR app here.

Designed a New Loyalty / Rewards Platform

This project was centered around the idea of allowing our clients to self-service their rewards and loyalty programs. Previously the client would have to reach out to a customer service rep and request updates, which the rep would then have to input manually. My favorite aspect of the completed solution is the addition of a “rewards calculator”. This calculator allows the user to input simple metrics about their business and our logic will determine what type of rewards/loyalty program is best for them. Another great feature, is the client’s ability to set up repeat omni-channel automation campaigns with the flip of a switch. A good example of this would be triggering automatic messaging when it’s a customers birthday via email, text, push, etc.

Some key tasks on this product included:

• Extensive internal research and documentation of the current process

• Gaining a deep understanding of marketplace needs and trends

• Brainstorming sessions with stakeholders

• User interviews with clients to determine their needs

• Design iteration based on user feedback

Below are some examples of the functionality and UI:

Additional Projects

• Design enhancements to the Analytics & Customer Engagement suite

• Creating an extensive product pattern library

• Designing visual assets for conferences, marketing, and other avenues of merchant engagement
